Honoring the 50th anniversary of Stax Records in Memphis, TN. This is a 4:24 min performance by Booker T and the MG's. The band that backed Sam and Dave, Wilson Pickett, and the late Otis Redding, , with their 1962 anthem, "Green Onions".
Mashed Potatoes From 1962: Nice performance of "Mashed Potato Time" by Dee Dee Sharp, the #3 song of the year on the Billboard charts that year. Performance is from "Shindig!".
Resolving an International Trivia Debate: Billboard's top song of 1965 was "Wooly Bully". This posting was prompted when I was recently called upon to resolve a Wolf Laurel Country Club bet about Sam the Sham. 2mins 18 seconds from "Hullabaloo".

1962: (If You Should Lose Me) You'll Lose A Good Thing: By Barbara Lynn. Looking back, it might be said that 1962 was one of the greatest years for rock and roll. This tune stayed in the top 5 for weeks in summer and fall that year. The video, (2 mins 57 secs), is live and unadulterated by studio tricks.
